We are expanding our footprint in the centre of Katowice and are currently looking for:
Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Katowice


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


 Managing Distributed Database Systems (Oracle Replication), CDC, Advance Tuning Sets and Real Application Testing (RAT)
 Managing Oracle databases 11gR2 and 3+TB in sizes
 Data warehousing, OLAP technology and tools
 Managing Oracle11g DataGuard, Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) and Streams replication technologies
 Monitoring performance, identifying problems and implementing solutions, ensuring databases are running at optimum speed and efficiency
 Keeping databases at current release and maintenance levels, keeping production, DR and staging environments stable
 Monitoring file system space and database allocation, as well as verifying efficient use of disk storage, reclaiming dead space, optimizing space allocation and avoiding out-of-space situations

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:


 Fluent English
 A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or related engineering field is needed
 A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Production Java Technologies is a plus
 Experience with Oracle RDBMS in a production environment
 Strong background in instance tuning and query performance tuning of existing applications
 Experience managing data, import and export, as well as data replication techniques
 Familiar with Grid Control, OEM and other Oracle monitoring tools
 Full knowledge of SQL, SQLPLUS, PL/SQL, triggers and stored procedures
 Linux system administrator experience
 Proficient in a scripting language (shell, perl)
 Strong interpersonal skills
